Rivertowns Rowing is the decades-long vision of Hastings resident and rower Ted Mason, a leader in business, military and non-profit innovation. 

Despite being the grandson of a champion oarsman who rowed for the "Fast Eight" boat of the Dauntless Rowing Club on the Harlem River, Mason did not begin rowing until about age 55, when his son joined the Crew at Brown University. His grandchildren are now nationally-ranked award-winning rowers.

Mason is a graduate of Columbia Business School and the Maritime College. He is currently Managing Director, Principal at Eastwind Power Partners, Ltd.
